We managed to find some rather unusual locations for
controls: far left - on a horse jump, far right - in a tunnel. And the views
from the spectator area were spectacular as the central picture shows (this
was the control punched by those who slogged to the top of the hill in the
spectator field) |

All three groups of starters Handicap on the left, Juniors
in the centre, Open on the right, found a certain amount of respite from the
steady rain by sheltering under some handy trees |

However, once the running began there was no time to think
about the rain!

time in club tents, where they were able to stay dry and get very well
acquainted with each other's smelly, damp O kit, no doubt |

| Ladies competition: Open class There was also
a ladies competition on the Open class. The top placed three teams were
1st SO Open 1 (Julia Jarvis, Christine Jepson, Anna Chapman)
2nd SLOW Mole Flanders (Sarah Brown, Christine Robinson, Jackie Chapman)
3rd GO Ladies (Linda Pakuls, Angela Darley, Christine Kiddier)
