| WHY JOIN MOLE VALLEY? | |
By joining Mole Valley you also join the British
Orienteering Federation (BOF), the national body for our sport, and get the
opportunity to take part in national level competition. |
We are a friendly social club, and discussing your
experience after an event with club members can be enjoyable as well as helping you
improve performance. |
You can compete for the club. There are many events in which orienteers
of all abilities count towards club scores. For example there are several team competitions, and leagues in
which this is the case. |
We run our own annual championships, handicap championships
and club picnic specially for club members. There are other social events
throughout the year, too such as an annual dinner. |
We publish a newsletter with information about
forthcoming events, general club news and
information. It is great for keeping in touch. |
Seriously fit or keen members can participate in club training. |
| To join Mole Valley use the online form at the
British Orienteering web site. At the home page click 'Join Now'.
Select 'MV' (for Mole Valley) as your club and SEOA as your association (South
East Orienteering Association).
Subscription renewal notifications will be sent out to existing members by the British Orienteering Federation with a view to getting new membership cards to people before 1 January each year. Anyone joining after 1 September in any year will get membership till 31 December the following year. The Supporter membership class is designed for people who no longer
orienteer but want to stay in touch with MV, or people who orienteer
primarily with another club but wish also to have an association with MV.
Supporters are not members of BOF and do not get the benefits of BOF
membership (see below). |
