League Points explained
Points are awarded at each of the four events in the series, contributing
to an overall league score. The best three of four events count for
the final league results, so your worst score will be dropped if you take
part in all four events. When the final scores are calculated after the
fourth event, the dropped score will be marked with an asterisk (*).
The top finishers on both the 2k
and 3k courses are given twenty points. Points are then awarded depending
on how far behind the first placed person you are. So if you were second
on your course you will get 19 points, if you were third, 18 points and so
on. The nineteenth placed
competitor and any after then get 2 points. Anyone who took part but was
disqualified or did not complete a course, gets 1 point.
